A post-Thanksgiving Cold

Okay so much for posting every day but at least I finally remembered.  We had a nice Thanksgiving - were at Tina's, where they ate before we got there (apparently the turkey was done so they couldn't wait...), and then headed out to the farm by 5ish & stayed there Friday.  Max had a fantastic time running all over the place on Friday - he was outside the better part of the day on Friday.  Unfortunately he picked something up and wound up with a cold on Saturday that started to impact his lungs pretty badly by Sunday.  So Monday morning we went to the doctor for his wheezing & got a lovely nebulizer.  That doctor's appointment was worse than shots because he was so scared of what was going on - poor kiddo.  Then I had to drag him off to Target to get the prescriptions before heading home.  Followed by more fighting to give the nebulizer at home (distractions helped!) and then I had to give him some terrible tasting medicine which he gagged on (prednisone).  Now, it's Thursday/Day 3, and he is a pro at the nebulizer - we do it as 'blow by' versus the mask, which helps a ton.  He does it 4 times a day.  And we just did his last dose of the prednisone this morning, which he was also getting so good at (I mixed it with a full packet of stevia & a little bit of grape emergen-c powder because otherwise it tastes absolutely horrid).  Woohoo!  We'll continue nebs through today, and then decrease tomorrow and Saturday.  So much fun this week!
